CADMILL - THE DENTAL Milling Center

In our milling center in Cologne, we accompany you as a competent partner in the production of dental prosthetics. From scanning and design to milling or manufacturing using laser or 3D printing technologies, we specialize in CAD/CAM technology and set new standards for modern dental technology. We are pleased to enhance the capabilities of your dental laboratory with our expertise.

SERVICES AT THE DENTAL MILLING CENTER COLOGNE

With our work, we create high-quality dental prosthetics for a wide range of indications.
These include:

  • Crowns and bridges
  • Custom titanium abutments
  • Custom hybrid abutments
  • Primary and secondary constructions
  • Model castings
  • Bridges
  • Occlusal splints
  • Other digital dental solutions

With the help of state-of-the-art software, we generate a virtual design based on a scan of the oral situation. This design serves as the foundation for the production of dental solutions, ensuring fast and precise processing.

Our production process is defined by a digital workflow: All steps towards manufacturing dental solutions are based on digital data and capture methods. Products are manufactured using Selective Laser Melting, CAM milling, or 3D printing.

Scan & Design (CAD)

Scanning and design are essential steps in CAD/CAM-based manufacturing of dental prosthetics. However, not every dental laboratory has the necessary infrastructure to perform these steps. In such cases, we are here as a reliable partner for you. Save yourself the high cost of acquiring software for modern CAD/CAM technology and rely on our service instead.

SELECTIVE LASER MELTING (SLM)

SLM (Selective Laser Melting) contrasts with the alternative laser sintering method in dental technology and is also applicable to metals. The laser layers metal powder and subsequently solidifies the material. We are happy to advise you on the feasibility of your project using SLM!

MILLING /
GRINDING

The milling technology of our 5-axis milling machines allows for precise manufacturing of even highly complex dental solutions. The model basis is provided by Computer Aided Design (CAD). As one of the fastest milling centers, we are your competent partner in this regard.

HYBRID MANUFACTURING

Secondary constructions in hybrid manufacturing processes.
With our unique hybrid manufacturing process, elaborate and complex constructions can be additively manufactured using selective laser melting. The inner surfaces of the printed secondary parts are subsequently precisely milled using CNC milling machines, creating perfect friction fits.

We want to be understood as a complement to your technical capabilities. In-house hybrid manufacturing for dental laboratories is our specialty. Save the expense of purchasing your own laser melting system or CAD software by sending us your STL data instead. We will generate and design the dental prosthetics, making necessary adjustments digitally.

MATERIALS USED

Depending on the indication and production method, some materials are better and others less suitable for your dental implants, abutments, bridges or other dental products. We have years of experience in dental technology and will always find a solution that meets your requirements. Whether ceramic, plastic or metal - we source all our materials from the most reputable manufacturers to ensure the best quality and process them with great care.

COBALT-CHROMIUM ALLOYS

Non-precious metals are particularly biocompatible. We have been successfully using our cobalt-chromium alloy for the production of dental solutions for many years.

Zircon

Zirconia is a mineral with particularly favourable properties for use in dental technology: Zirconium oxide is translucent, stable and also suitable for bruxism patients.

PMMA

We use the high-tech plastic PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) for various temporary restorations in tooth colours, with or without a colour gradient. This allows different aesthetic results to be achieved. We also produce splints and drilling templates made of transparent PMMA.

Silicate ceramics & hybrid ceramics

Hybrid ceramic is a composite material made of ceramic and composite. The material combines the advantages of the aesthetics and biocompatibility of silicate ceramics with the elastic properties of plastic.

Wax

At CADmill, we primarily use wax to produce wax models for embedding. Our wax is plastic-modified and is burnt without leaving any residue.

Titanium

We recommend titanium as a high-quality alternative for CoCr allergy sufferers.
However, the physiological compatibility of titanium denture frameworks and abutments also benefits non-allergy sufferers.

PEEK

The high-performance plastic PEEK (polyether ether ketone) is another alternative for metal allergy sufferers and its modulus of elasticity is similar to that of human bone. This high biocompatibility makes the material well suited for frameworks and prostheses.
